The Opportunity

The North Junee Project is located within the Gold-Copper Heartland of Australia, a region that contains over 110 Moz gold and 19 Mt copper in current resource and past production and includes the major porphyry copper-gold and epithermal gold deposits of Cadia (42 Moz Au, 8.7 Mt Cu), Northparkes (3.8 Moz Au, 3.4 Mt Cu) and Cowal (9.6 Moz Au).

Positioned over the southern extension of the Junee-Narromine Volcanic Belt, home to Northparkes and Cowal, the project showcases promising indicators for mineralisation potential such as porphyry Cu-Au, low sulphidation Au-Ag, and shear-hosted Au. In particular, this project is primed for success with Phase 4 Macquarie Arc equivalent monzonite intrusions observed across the project tenure and supported by the recent work undertaken by the NSW Geological Survey which has confirmed geological ages and chemistry comparable to the Cadia and Northparkes copper-gold porphyry systems.

The Junee Project represents an exciting opportunity within an emerging Cu-Au porphyry district and offers an early-mover advantage across a greater than 20 kilometre-in-strike prospective area of the Lachlan Fold Belt. A region that is seeing a resurgence in mining and exploration activity by the major gold mining companies.

The South Junee project, situated approximately 60 kilometres southeast of the Junee project, lies within the Lachlan Fold Belt, known for its significant copper and gold endowment, with deposits such as Cadia-Ridgeway (42Moz gold, 8.7Mt copper) and Northparkes (3.8Moz gold, 3.4Mt copper).

The project straddles the Gilmore Suture (Fault Zone), a complex metalliferous structural corridor, and locally contains multiple historic gold, copper and other base metal occurrences. More recently the area was explored by DevEx Resources Limited, who have defined a greater than 4 kilometre gold system at the Main Ridge Gold Prospect.

The project represents an underexplored opportunity within a terrane that has seen a resurgence in mining and exploration activity.
